Leaking Shower Repair

Repair or rebuild

A leaking shower shows up as a damp skirting board, a lifting floorboard in the next room, or a stain on the ceiling downstairs. By the time you can see it, water has usually been getting through for a while.

  • Leak diagnosed before anything is demolished
  • Waste and floor junction checked, not just the grout
  • Regrout and reseal where that will hold
  • Full rebuild only when the membrane has actually failed
  • Straight answer either way

The honest answer depends on whether the waterproofing has failed. If it has not, and the tiles and substrate are sound, a proper regrout and reseal will stop the leak for a fraction of the cost of a rebuild.

If the membrane has gone, no surface repair will hold. We will tell you that plainly rather than take your money for a regrout we know will fail, because you will only be calling someone back in a year.

Either way you get the reasoning, not just a number. You should understand why the job is what it is before you agree to it.
